North Coast Old Rasputin Stout
Style: Russian Imperial Stout
Produced in the tradition of 18th Century English brewers who supplied the court of Russia's Catherine the Great, Old Rasputin seems to develop a cult following wherever it goes. It's a rich, intense brew with big complex flavors and a warming finish.
Brown black color with a light brown head. Toffee and citrusy, piney hops aromas and flavors with a rich honeyed medium full body with great, creamy frothiness. Rich lemon marmalade, celery salt, praline, and resiny hops on the finish. A wild and woolly, broad shouldered, richly hopped West coast interpretation of the style that really works. - BTI
Serve as Digestif or pairs with Chocolates and Chocolate desserts.
Recommend serving in a Chalice or Goblet glass as they are designed to maintain an abundant head. This is achieved by scoring the inside bottom of the glass, which creates a carbon center point for a stream of unending bubbles perfect head retention.
