Pumpkin Custard Pie

At Vine & Table gourmet market we firmly believe in the classics. We also believe in keeping things simple so that ingredients shine through to the finished dish. Enjoy this classic dish made easy from our effortless entertaining series.


Ingredients:
1 ready-to-bake pie crust, pre-bake according to directions
2 cups heavy cream
2 egg yolks, lightly beaten
4 whole eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup Stonewall Kitchens Maple Pumpkin Butter


Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Heat cream in a small, heavy saucepan. Warm thoroughly but do not simmer.
3. Remove from heat and stir gradually into beaten eggs.
4. Add Maple Pumpkin Butter and mix well.
5. Pour custard into pre-baked pie shell and bake approximately 40-50 minutes or until custard is set.
An inserted knife or toothpick will come out clean. Cool before serving.
