I’m new to twitter and I have not yet gotten to the point where I can hold my head high in a conversation; point my nose slightly upward and belt out, “Of course I tweet. Don’t you?” But recently I have had my eyes opened to the power this seemingly benign tool has in making connections with people of like minds. Recently I was “tweeting” - about something significant, I’m sure - and another local “tweeter” replied. We immediately connected and in a 140 words or less I recognized that Vine & Table had something to offer and we then began a dialogue where I had the pleasure of learning about the MediaSauce Cheese Club:
MediaSauce is a digtal media and web design firm in Carmel. During a new-employee orientation a year and a half ago, someone threw out the question "what's your favorite cheese" during introductions. It went around and was pretty standard except my comment of loving Morbier and the next guy explaining he couldn't pick one, but his board would consist of Epoisse, Tellaggio, and 4 year cheddar. That started the idea of wanting to share unique cheeses with our coworkers and thus began our monthly gathering. We pick a theme and everyone chips in their cash and we go shopping.

So it’s the Power of Cheese that has these coworkers gathering together during their free time. As soon as I heard about this I knew the MediaSauce Cheese Club had to come to V&T to experience some of our almost 400 cheeses. And because I admire their passion, I wanted to buy their wine. After all, what goes better with cheese then wine!
Every single time, someone requests that we do a meeting after hours and pair with wine. People are super excited that it's finally going to happen. Previous Themes have been: Cheese & Chocolate; Melted Cheeses of the World; Cheese & Fruit; Cheese & Homemade jams; Stinkiest Cheeses (*one time only! It got banned because our conference room smelled for three days) :)
So it is this week that we are pleased to welcome the MediaSauce Cheese Club to the Vine & Table cafe for their December meeting. We sincerely hope it is one of your best!
To a new friendship & the Power of Twitter - Cheers!
