Chateau Moncontour Vouvray "Cuvée Predilection" 2009

Dry - Fine and complex, hazelnuts, layers of acidity, toast and fresh fruit.

We named this Cuvée Prédilection (beloved favorite in English) because it is the word the French novelist Balzac used to describe his feelings about Moncontour. (see Balzac's letter)

The wine itself, our best sparkling Cuvée, is fine and complex, with aromas of hazelnuts, layers of acidity, a touch of toast, but still retaining great fresh fruit.

A great alternative to Champagne!
